Andras Gyorgy joined NYUAD as an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering in 2017. His research focuses on networked dynamical systems, in particular:

rational forward-engineering of synthetic biology systems; characterization of circuit-circuit and host-circuit interactions both in vivo and in vitro; design and analysis of multi-scale systems prevalent in biology;

Prior to joining NYUAD, he was a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley working with Murat Arcak and Adam Arkin, conducting research on biological control and pattern formation.
