GIBS Business School

Prof Anastacia Mamabolo is an Associate Professor specialising in research methods and entrepreneurship at the University of Pretoria's Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). She qualified as an Optometrist and after a few years of practising, she decided to join academia. During her doctoral studies at GIBS, Anastacia was appointed as the school’s project manager for the AACSB accreditation.

Her research identity is the role of faith and human capital in management and entrepreneurial activities. She teaches on the MBA, MPhil, and Doctoral Programs in the areas of entrepreneurship and applied research design. In addition to teaching responsibilities, she was involved in GIBS Project Orbit that explored business and management in Africa.

Prof Mamabolo was part of a research team that interviewed more than 100 C-level executives in Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Nigeria. She has presented at international conferences and published articles in peer-reviewed journals. She also supervises masters and doctoral students.
