Bristol Business School
Qualitative researcher at the University of the West of England, supporting projects across two Centres: Bristol Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing (Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences) and Bristol Leadership and Change Centre (Faculty of Business and Law). Currently involved in the evaluation of a number of health and wellbeing projects within the south west, including: - A Social Return On Investment (SROI) study for a local young people's charity initiative, including interviews with young, previously homeless people; - Evaluation of a patient and public involvement scheme within the NHS; - Evaluation of a health and wellbeing lesson programme in schools in Gloucestershire, including focus groups with primary age children and data collection - Part of the UWE team commissioned to evaluate Bristol's Golden Key project
Co-author of a literature review on the subject of scams and influence techniques. Very interested in public health, particularly social prescribing, young people, alcohol and substance use. Recently completed a Masters in Public Health at UWE, for which I was awarded a Distinction.
Additional skills
Over 10 years experience in administrative, PA and project coordinator roles for a number of public and private sector employers. Direct experience in the events/festival sector, healthcare, academia and local government. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
Versatile and quick to learn, with experience in PA work (NHS, Bristol City Council) as well as project based roles such as Commissioning Projects Officer for the Drug Strategy Team at Bristol City Council.
Extremely strong organisational skills and a very good eye for detail. Effective interpersonal skills with many years of experience in partnership working. Creative, with experience of writing company newsletters, updating website content and controlling social media feeds.
