Alfred Vernis Domènech

Professor in the Department of Strategy and General Management.

He is the director of the Momentum Project, a pioneer in Spain in supporting the growth of the country''s social enterprises: http://www.momentum-project.org

He participates in the Social Enterprise Knowledge Network (SEKN) international research group.

He is a founding member of both the Institute for Social Innovation and the Institute for Public Governance and Management. He also helped to launch the Alumni Giving Back programme, an ESADE Alumni Association initiative offering pro-bono consulting services. He currently facilitates the Luis de Sebastián Film Forum.
He has been Director of University Programmes at ESADE and Director of Faculty Development. He has published numerous articles and books on third-sector management. He co-authored La gestión de las organizaciones no lucrativas (Deusto, 1998), Los retos en la gestión de las organizaciones no lucrativas (Granica, 2004), Nonprofit Organizations: Challenges and Collaboration (Palgrave, 2006), Effective Management of Social Enterprises (Harvard University, 2006), Empresas que inspiran futuro. Ocho casos de empresas sociales (2010), and Stories of Scale. Nine Cases of Growth in Social Enterprises (2013).

He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Fundación Lealtad (Madrid). Since 2002, he has been a member of the Social Council of the Inditex Group (Arteixo, Galicia).
