Biography

Alex Gill is the Social Innovator in Residence at Toronto’s Ryerson University and co-founder of the SocialVentures Zone. A social entrepreneur and activist, Alex founded Mendicant Group in 2005 and has brought new thinking to a range of social issues in Canada and in 15 different countries (so far). He has moderated the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance since its inception in 2010. Alex was one of 50 nonprofit activists invited to attend Stanford University Business School in 2013 and was named one of Canada’s “Social Justice All-Stars” by This Magazine in 2015.
