Biography

Wagner Graduate School of Public Service

Dr. Alex Acs is currently serving as a Fellow for the University of Pennsylvania’s Program on Regulation and will be serving as an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University beginning in August of 2016.

Dr. Acs studies political institutions and policymaking, executive branch politics, regulation and rulemaking, and political economy. He held positions at the World Resources Institute and Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in Washington, DC and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cambridge, MA. He has published articles in Presidential Studies Quarterly the Journal of Public Administration Research & Theory and is currently working on five manuscripts on regulatory affairs and politics. He is an editor for the Journal of International Affairs and referees for a variety of public administration and political science journals.

Dr. Acs holds a Ph.D. and MA in Politics from Princeton University, an MPA from Columbia, and an AB from Georgetown University.
