Alan Howard

Alan's coaching philosophy derives from his fundamental belief in the power of coaching as an enabler of personal learning, development and growth. His practice brand "Positive Interventions" expresses his values and vision.

Alan is passionate about supporting leaders, teams, individuals and colleagues / coaches with their own development and in achieving their full potential. He is an empathetic coach with excellent facilitation and communications skills, which he applues sensitively and diplomatically. His coaching work encompasses clients (incl. CEO's, senior leaders, executives and individuals) in private, public, and not-for-profit organisations operating across many sectors including Medical / Health Sciences Education, Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications, Retail, Research, Leisure / Hospitality and I.T.

During his career he have held senior management and HR positions. As senior HR Manager / Business Partner with an internationally renowned academic / health sciences institution he delivered strategic projects and operational services globally. Previously he worked in the highly competitive telecommunications sector when he held senior management and leadership roles in HR, Business Transformation / Change Management, Sales, Marketing and Operations. He has a strong blend of strategic, general and operational skills combined with practical OD, change management and employee engagement expertise. He has extensive experience of managing comprehensive resourcing / recruitment projects and initiatives and designing and implementing performance management systems.

Alan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD) and a Member of the Association for Coaching (MAC). His qualifications include: Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching (UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School); Fundamentals of Coaching Supervision (UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School); Diploma in Personnel Management (DIT/NCEA); Diploma in Employment Law (NCIR/IBEC)..
