ESCP Europe Business School
Alain Ruttiens is Affiliate Professor at ESCP Europe, where he teaches Mathematics of Financial Markets. He holds a Master in Chemical Engineering (Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, Belgium), and a postgraduate degree in Operational Research (FUCAM, Mons, Belgium).
He spent most of his career in the banking sector (Banque Indosuez then KBC Bank), chiefly in trading, and research and development related to financial derivatives.
A few years ago, he founded a hedge fund, which he also manages. He is also managing partner of NEURON SARL, a company offering consultancy services for financial markets in Luxembourg.
Ruttiens teaches at the Sorbonne, HEC and Sciences Po Paris. He is also Professor at the Centro di Studi Bancari, Lugano (Switzerland) and ESA Business School , Beirut (Lebanon).
He is an IAG Fellow of the University of Louvain (Belgium) and an active member of the Decision Sciences Institute (Atlanta, USA).
