Adam Ziegler

Adam is the Director of Harvard Law School's Library Innovation Lab (LIL). LIL does many cool things, often in collaboration with others in the Berkman Klein community, such as building software to help authors preserve web citations (Perma.cc), offering a platform for teachers to create open textbooks (H2O) and enabling free online access to the published historical record of U.S. caselaw (Caselaw Access Project).

Adam joined LIL after founding a startup that helped lawyers collaborate online. He also represented clients in court for over 10 years as a commercial litigator and white collar defense lawyer at Covington & Burling, Goodwin Procter LLP and Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar LLP, where he was a partner. Early in his career, Adam served as a law clerk to Judge James L. Ryan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and interned with the Appellate Staff, Civil Division, in the U.S. Department of Justice. He holds degrees from the University of Michigan Law School and Davidson College.
