Background

Abdelkader has previously held positions at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in France, University of Neuchatel in Switzerland. He also taught intensive courses in Guadeloupe and Algiers.  

Abdelkader started his career as a civil engineer. He then worked as a Consultant at RAN consulting and Researcher at IFSTTAR in France. 

Abdelkader holds a Civil Engineering degree from ENTP engineering school; a Master’s degree in transport from the engineering school Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and University ParisXII; a Master’s degree in Logistics and Information Systems and PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Abdelkader’s doctoral research explored and analysed the mechanisms and the various logics that build customer satisfaction and company organisation. 

Current activities

Dr Abdelkader Aoufi  joined Cranfield School of Management as a Lecturer in Operations Management, in 2016. 

His current research focuses on behavior and strategic decision making in operations management. His consulting work focuses on customer service and performance improvement through enhancing process and service. His various research interests include innovation and service collaborative, service strategic, SCM, service quality and the interactions between companies and customers.

Abdelkader has been involved in projects for companies in a range of sectors including: Post Offices; service delivery at automobile workshops; car manufacturers; third-party logistics providers and healthcare.
