Who should attend
The Hospital Management Simulation course is addressed to European and Asian hospital managers and healthcare providers.
About the course
As the pace of change in healthcare continues to accelerate, managers must be leaders, adept at navigating the changing marketplace, and legal/regulatory and clinical worlds. The objective of the Hospital Management Simulation is to provide an opportunity to experience the challenges of executive leadership and strategic decision-making of a competitive multi-hospital environment.
THE SIMULATION is a realistic exercise that effectively simulates the complexity and intensity of the evolving healthcare environment especially during times of crisis.
The HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT: THE SIMULATION & THE PANDEMIC is a realistic exercise that effectively simulates the complexity and intensity of the evolving healthcare environment.
Why a simulation?
Simulations are a well-tested and effective means of instruction that have been employed in management education within business schools and industry since the late 1950s. They range from simple exercises such as in-baskets to comprehensive exercises in functional areas including marketing, finance and operations to complex total organizational models such as the Health System Simulation.
The HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT: THE SIMULATION & THE PANDEMIC course benefits from the long standing experience of the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health which developed the Health System Simulation and is now partnering with SDA Bocconi to offer the simulation embedded into the executive education program.
