It is well recognized that diversity within organizations is growing. Effective management of diversity helps an organization harness skills, talent, and ideas. This program will help individuals understand their own biases, preferences, their personal inclusivity, and will help build inclusion as a competence. As participants engage with the topic of inclusion, they will understand how to engage in honest and deeper discussions on topics considered sensitive.

The program directors bring with them expertise with respect to diversity in terms of gender, sexual orientation, generational differences, and disability. The program will help participants understand their implicit biases and how to engage with others whose beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors are different from their own. Participants will specifically examine their attitudes towards diverse groups, and how diverse perspectives can be utilized towards making informed and inclusive decisions. Finally, participants will learn how they can reframe failures.

Key takeaways

At the end of the program, participants will have:

  • An understanding of their biases and how inclusive they are
  • An appreciation of how to influence key stakeholders within the organization on diversity issues
  • An understanding of how to craft a framework for inclusion within the organization.

The participants will be exposed to participative classroom interactions, panel discussions, experiential learning, and group activities.

Who should attend

This programme is targeted towards diversity champions and towards individuals who wish to become evangelists for inclusion within their organizations. This programme will also be highly beneficial for managers who lead diverse teams.
