Her book, “Blockbusters: Hit-making, Risk-taking, and the Big Business of Entertainment” (2013), have been highly praised for their insightful analysis of the entertainment industry and named one of Amazon’s “Best Books of 2013.” Anita has also authored numerous articles in top-tier academic journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Marketing Research. By the way, professor Elberse is one of the youngest female professors to have been promoted to full professor with tenure in Harvard Business School’s history!

She has been actively involved in sports and dreamt of becoming a footballer for most of her life and has even represented her country, the Netherlands, in international competitions. Her passion for sports led her to create a unique program at Harvard Business School called “Crossover Into Business,” which helps professional athletes transition into business careers. By the way, two Hawks players, Bogdan Bogdanovich and Danilo Gallinari, who became representatives of the National Basketball Association (NBA) at Harvard, studied in the program. Her expertise in sports and business has made her a sought-after speaker and advisor for many professional teams and leagues around the world. Anita also teaches courses on the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports for MBA students and executives.
