Sonja Ängeslevä

Sonja has vast experience in F2P game and digital product development. She started her career as prototype developer for media & telecom industry and built SMS games in a startup. Now she lives her dream in creating captivating and large scale digital games and services for global audiences. Drawing on her experiences, Sonja actively brings together design, consumer insights, data analytics and software development in her work as Product Lead at Zynga.

Sonja has received several awards for her contribution to the growth of Finnish game industry and has been listed as one of the Top 100 ICT Influencers in Finland. Based out of Helsinki, she is an active community builder and has been contributing to key initiatives strengthening Finnish game development ecosystem. In early 2000 she led IGDA Finland through formalisation and introduced new concepts like IGDA Finland Presentations and Hubs. She started Women in Games Finland community in 2011 and as Chairman of the Board, has helped game industry umbrella organisation, Neogames Finland, to succeed.
