Ruth has a retail career spanning more than 20 years as a Home Interiors & Seasonal buyer for High street department store House of Fraser & luxury brand Fortnum & Mason where she was involved in the high profile refurbishment & restructure for their Tercentenary.

Highly skilled in product development & curating homeware collections across both hard accessories & textiles, Ruth has worked globally with a vast array of manufacturers and well known brands in the UK, Europe & the Far East.

Using her expertise, Ruth set up her own label having discovered a fair trade weaving workshop in Indonesia, where she championed provenance of product, traceability & source transparency.Currently running a successful buying & retail consultancy using her extensive corporate training, Ruth mentors & empowers designer makers, & works closely with boutique brands & various sized retailers focusing on brand strategy & creative direction.

Former retail buyer for Fortnum & Mason and House of Fraser with proven track record in increasing sales & profit, now offering enthusiastic support & expertise to talented designer/makers, independent retailers & brands.

Regularly run workshops, speak & co-host at Network Events for local brands & makers in Sussex, Brighton & South East areas.
