Pedro Vieira is the Director, Innovation and Partnerships at 500 Startups. Pedro is a scientist, turned founder, turned investor, with deep experience in the tech world. Pedro holds a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley, and his publications have received awards both in the EU and US. His first venture (GoodGuide.com) was backed by NEA and DFJ and creates tools used today by millions of users around the world, and by a diverse set of companies ranging from small companies to large Fortune 500. After that, he launched West to West to help other entrepreneurs succeed in Silicon Valley. Pedro has experience on both sides of the table as operator and investor, and with all the different stages of a venture from idea to growth.
