Maya Hemachandra

Maya Hemachandra blends philanthropy and community engagement strategies to create champions for social change. Since joining Solid Ground as the resource development director in 2016, she has led the adoption of policies aimed at reducing inequities within fundraising and communication practices while dramatically increasing revenue from private sources. A Seattle native, Hemachandra has served organizations in the region for more than 15 years and holds a master's in public administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive, a board member of AFP Advancement Northwest and a Girl Scout troop leader.
