Matthew Byrne

Matthew holds an MBA (Strategy) from UTS Business School as well as a Executive certificate ib Adaptive leadership from Harvard (USA), A range of qualifications and accreditations spanning; psychotherapy, personality assessment and facilitation techniques.

Matthew is the Program Director for AGSM's General Manager Program. He focuses on equipping executives with strategies, behaviour change techniques, and tools to leverage organisational financial and human capital assets to achieve higher value outcomes and succeed in a context of economic and technological disruption.

His strengths lie in an inclusive communication skill, and the ability to solve complex organisational problems through facilitation of identifying core problems or stumbling blocks to transform obstacles into inspirational opportunities for both organisations and their stakeholders. Matthew seeks innovative, effective, and profitable relationship strategies between business and commercial partners, clients and employees.

Matthew’s industry experience spans multiple sectors including assignments with:

• United Group Limited, as head of Organisational Development, as well as Executive GM of the global CEO’s office
• Boral Australia building and running a comprehensive Leadership pathways and Talent succession management program.
• Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and India designing and leading executive programs in Honk Kong and India, for the equities and regional divisions.
• GE as part of a ‘Future of Work’ Thinktank.
