Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies

GUIDOTTI Matteo lectures in several programs at The Graduate Institute. Here he is also the Head of the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) for African English speaking countries, and a Research Associate with the Centre on Conflicts, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP). His main areas of competences are in state-building, governance and policy evaluation; project cycle management (PCM), Results-based Management, performance and change management.

Matteo holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. A graduate of the University of Neuchâtel, Matteo has a BA in Economics and a BA in Political Sciences. He holds a Master in Public Management and Policy Evaluation (University of Geneva) and a Master in Advanced Developed Studies (The Graduate Institute, Geneva). He started his career as a researcher at the Laboratory of Applied Economics (LEA - University of Geneva), and he went on working as a senior consultant with Ernst & Young Consulting in the Performance Management Unit. Since 2004 Matteo is also the managing director and owner of MAGI-STER Consulting & Evaluation where he provides consulting services and delivers training for governments, international organizations, local and international NGOs in Europe, South-East and Central Asia, and Africa.

Matteo is a member of the Swiss Evaluation Society (SEVAL), of the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS), and member of the technical board of the Swiss Italian NGO federation (FOSIT). He is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and certified ADKAR-Prosci Change Manager.
