Marlene Gyldmark

Global Head at Roche Diabetes Care at Imperial College London

Biography

Imperial College London

I have experienced many of the facets of health care and the challenge of health care decision making. I started my professional life by working in the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, and spent subsequently many years working in health service research in both developed and developing countries, as well as in the academic environment through teaching and research at Copenhagen University and York University. I also participated in a rich scientific research program through several pan-European concerted action projects. I later moved to the pharmaceutical industry where I worked for several international companies.

Building a high functioning team from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding and challenging accomplishments of my career. As a leader, I passionately believe in the value of each group member.

Throughout my time in industry I have kept close ties to the academic environment. In particular I have together with Copenhagen University been running courses in Market Access, Value Based Health Care, and lately we are trying to set up a course in Digital Health Care.
