Leonard Tay is the founder of Learning Focus Technologies and has been active professionally for the past 27 years with experience in the areas of Information Technology, Customer Service, Business Development including Training Delivery and Consultancy. Organisations he previously served in included Belsoft Technology, 3M Singapore and NCS. At 3M he was recognised as Outstanding Sales Performer for three Quarters. He also specialises in working with organisations to provide instructional design, software application for teaching and learning as well as training solutions for workforce development and re-profiling.

Due to his business development and technical work experience, Leonard is a versatile trainer able to effectively deliver soft skills as well as technical subject content. Besides technology related training, he has facilitated training for service and soft skills and leadership programmes such as Managing Change, Implementing Continuous Improvement in Service Delivery, Leading Workplace Communication and Engagement, Managing Service Innovation, Managing Visitor Services, Problem Solving and Decision Making using Systems Thinking, Personal Effectiveness and Initiative and Enterprise.

As he specialises in training and instructional design, he also train’s and assess other trainers for the Advance Cert. in Learning and Performance (ACLP) and the Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE) which are nationally recognised programmes for certifying trainers. As a trained instructional designer, Leonard has also developed training programmes for diverse sectors ranging from the Leadership and People Management, Security, Training, Service, Business Management, Travel and Tourism as well as Social Service. Being a recognised Skills Future Mentor by Enterprise Singapore, Leonard is also able to work with organisations to guide in-house supervisors to develop mentorship skills and write OJT blueprints.
