Passionate professor of finance, advocating for a logical and insightful comprehension of even complex topics in financial management, specializing in corporate finance, derivatives and risk management. This materialises also in the ergonomics of the products and in the accompaniment proposed by FinMetrics to managers for the last 20 years, a company we started whilst finishing our PhD at HEC Lausanne. Finance is a discipline of human sciences and thus a managerial one. Mastering principles, techniques and being capable to implement them is a first requirement. But letting them in the drawers of quants, without bringing a pragmatic comprehension to managers for their own decision-making proves to be useless if not dangerous. We are convinced, and digitalization proves we are right, that the true benefit of technology and finance, is to be able to bring financial awareness to decision-makers in an ergonomic way.
