An award-winning communications professional, Glynis Gibson has more than three decades of public relations, communications, marketing, writing and editing experience.

As president of Gibson Communications, Inc., which she founded in 1991, Glynis provides full service PR and communications consulting to her clients, which have ranged from sophisticated computer technology to high-end sports flooring. Her diverse client portfolio includes leading companies and organizations, such as the Chicago Blackhawks, CDW, Gateway Computers, Life Fitness, Mondo and Toshiba.

Glynis has won more than 50 communications awards for work she has conducted on behalf of her clients, including two Silver Trumpets, six Platinum awards, and numerous Gold and Silver awards.

Prior to establishing Gibson Communications, Glynis worked at Airis Computer Corp., the PR firm Public Communications, Inc., NEC Home Electronics and the Methodist Medical Center. She has taught communications classes at Illinois State University and Bradley University.

Glynis has master's and bachelor's degrees in speech communication from Illinois State University, where she serves on the School of Communication Advisory Board and is a frequent speaker at the school’s Communications Week events. She also is on the board of Project 88, was on the Public Relations and Marketing Advisory Committee for the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago and represented her client Life Fitness on the Chicago Mayor’s Fitness Council.

Currently Glynis teaches the Advertising and Public Relations Essentials Certificate Program and the Business Grammar Essentials Seminar at DePaul.
