IESE Business School
Executive Director of the IESE Coaching Unit. The unit provides executive and leadership coaching to international executives and managers participating in IESE degree and executive education programs in Barcelona, Madrid, New York, Munich and Sao Paolo. Estibaliz has 18 years of professional experience in International Management and in training and development in different companies and sectors.
BUSINESS EXPERIENCE: Estíbalitz started her career in 1994 at COMERSA in the Metal Industry working as HR Support. In 1999 she joined Agilent Technologies, a multinational company operating in the high technology industry, where she worked as an HR Generalist for 10 years. During this time, she was responsible for providing coaching and guidance to 20 people managers across Europe, the Middle East and South America in all HR practices and policies. In 2008 she started combining her professional activity with her work as a professor at Pompeu Fabra University teaching International HR Management in the School of International Trade and in the Master in International Business, where she still delivers this subject. In 2010 she started a small company focused on promoting and developing motivation in organizations. This experience taught her the importance of having a clear and inspiring message to convince investors to back your idea. She also learned how to lead within the flat organizational structure of a small start-up. In 2013 she joined IESE Business School as the Executive Director of the Coaching Unit.
COACHING EXPERIENCE: Executive Coach at IESE Business School in Barcelona since 2013. 4 years of coaching experience, delivering coaching to external clients from different sectors and professional backgrounds. Specialty areas: executive coaching in Business Schools, personal development and leadership development.
CERTIFICATIONS: Degree in Spanish Literature from the University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain (1993). Master in Philosophy, University of Navarra, Barcelona, Spain (1995), PhD in Mentoring from IESE Business School, (1999) Barcelona. Topic: ¨La práctica del mentoring en la empresa, estudio de dos multinacionales en España¨. (Doctoral dissertation published by EUNSA in 2003). Certification as facilitator from the program Crucial Conversations, Frankfurt, Germany, 2005. ACTP, Executive Coach, Escuela Europea de Coaching, Barcelona, October 2013.
