Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership

Dr Doroteya Vladimirova is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Industrial Sustainability, Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge where she leads research on value innovation and new business models for a sustainable future.

Biography

Doroteya’s focus is on managing business model innovations that lead to creating and capturing more economic, social, and environmental value for business and society. She is currently the lead researcher on the H2020 SCALER project, which is driving the European circular economy agenda forward, by finding new ways to scale resource synergies with industrial symbiosis.

Doroteya is a regular speaker on the topics of sustainable value creation and sustainable business model innovation. Doroteya’s work bridges the gap between research and practice. She works closely with social entrepreneurs and advises leading global businesses on their transition towards sustainable business models. Doroteya holds a PhD from Cranfield University.

Prior to academia, her career spanned over a decade across the fields of international affairs with national and foreign governments and in international business with one of the world’s largest automakers. As a Fellow at CISL, Doroteya facilitated the launch of the inaugural Sustainability Leadership Lab ‘Transforming Business to Deliver Sustainable Value’. She is also an academic supervisor on the Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership.
