Demetris Nicolaou

Mr. Demetris Nicolaou holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Economics and an MBA from the American University in Washington, DC. He is a CFA Charterholder and also holds advanced Certificates of Professional Competence from CySEC. He previously served as President of the CFA Society of Cyprus. Demetris is the Chief Financial Officer of D. Nicolaou & Sons Ltd. Previously he worked at Alpha Bank as Head of Asset Management and in the USA at Emerging Markets Management as Co-Portfolio Manager. Demetris is a Non-Executive Director of Axia Ventures, an investment banking firm. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Hanseatic Capital Management, a fund management company with expertise in shipping. Demetris a Certified Trainer by the Human Resource Development Authority (HRDA) and teaches courses in Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Ethics, Derivatives, Financial Planning, Investment Planning, Financial Markets, Anti Money Laundering, MiFID II and more.
