Academic Affiliation

• She has taught as Visiting Professor of Management at the University of Maryland at College Park, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
• She has also taught at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Before joining IIMA as faculty, she worked with industry for five years.
• She has conducted and taught in executive education programs for large organizations in India and in Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Middle Eastern countries.
• At IIM Ahmedabad, she has designed and coordinated open enrolment programs ranging from four-month long management education program for middle-level managers to one-week programs on relevant topical themes for top executivesfrom large corporations.
• She was on the board of a medium sized Indian Bank from 1999 to 2005.

Professional Affiliation

• Consultant to the Commonwealth Secretariat, World Health Organisation, Interman, Geneva, the World Bank Washington DC, and various organisations in the Indian corporate sector.
• Her current consulting interests are in the area of management competence development and HR issues in managing organisational change.

Area of Research:

• Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of managing innovation and change, issues of power, influence and leadership, women in management, and business ethics.
• She has published in leading international and Indian journals.

Current Research :

• Empowerment and women in ICTs, work-life balance, innovation and change.
