Biography
Fels Institute of Government
Currently an independent development consultant, Dr. Terrell has nearly a decade of experience in grant-related institutional fundraising. Most recently, she served as Director of Foundation and Government Relations at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts and, prior to that, as Manager of Foundation Giving at the National Constitution Center. She also has helped a variety of other organizations, from the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation to Philabundance, raise nearly $4 million in grant funds. Before turning her research and writing skills to nonprofit fundraising, Dr. Terrell taught literature and writing as an Assistant Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She earned her doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of Pennsylvania.
