Cody Pherigo

Cody Pherigo is a queer writing animal from Kalamazoo, MI. He first studied writing at Bent Writing Institute in 2008 and later interned at Copper Canyon Press, which got him interested in publishing and editing. Pherigo has taught creative writing classes since 2012 at various writing centers in Seattle, including SAL's Writers-In-The-Schools program and Hugo House, and holds an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College.

In 2019, he earned an University of Washington Certificate in Editing and became an instructional assistant and later an instructor with the program shortly thereafter. Pherigo is a member of the Northwest Editors Guild, and when he's not obsessing over the joys of language and writing, he's probably gardening, bicycling or singing.
