Basil Leonard

Dr Basil Leonard of USB Executive Development Ltd (USB-ED), who facilitates in the areas of Leadership, People Management and Moral Intelligence, has been appointed as academic head of the company. He has recently been involved in leadership development for senior management of the United Nations (UN).

Dr Leonard has served as USB-ED’s representative on the inquiry-phase team for the design, development and delivery of a Leadership Development Programme for the Senior Management Network of the UN.

The Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) of the Erasmus University that is presenting this programme to the UN decided to submit a tender to present this programme in collaboration with seven business schools from different regions across the world, including USB-ED at the University of Stellenbosch Business School as the only African representative.

Leonard who holds a BComm degree and an MDiv and DTh brings a wealth of experience to USB-ED.

He has served in senior leadership and management positions in Cornerstone Christian College (Theology lecturer), Medi-Clinic (hospital manager), UWC (head of Campus Services) and Sanlam (senior training consultant and senior facilities manager).
