Who should attend

The Power of Presence is for anyone who wants to align their body language and voice with the message they wish to convey. Especially people with a management, consulting or sales position will boost their non-verbal communication skills through this programme.

About the course

This unique two-day programme, developed by RSM Executive Education, increases your awareness of your non-verbal self-presentation, and teach you how to use your strong features, allowing your communication and interaction with others to have more impact.

You might have great ideas, perspectives and methods. But you might lose your effectiveness if you don’t know how you come across, and if you don’t represent your message with intention. As a matter of fact, 70 to 90 per cent of our communication is non-verbal – embodied by the tone of our voice and our body language. The Power of Presence is taught by an academic researcher and experienced executive presence coaches.

During The Power of Presence, you will boost your non-verbal communication skills, including body language, and presenting with self-confidence. Combine this awareness with practice to become a more effective leader, while you explore active and effective ways of communicating and expressing who you are, and what message you want to convey. Your presence and your behavioural flexibility will grow dramatically.

Learning objectives

By participating in this programme, you will:

  • increase your self-awareness and self-confidence
  • develop powerful presence
  • learn how to inspire those around you
  • discover how to lead effectively under pressure
  • strengthen your non-verbal communication skills
  • connect with others and build trust more quickly.

All three faculty members are teaching, observing and giving you individual feedback throughout the programme. They support and challenge you and take into account the learning goals you provided.

Our virtual classroom: leading with online presence

Do you communicate effectively online? How can you influence, motivate and show much needed confidence in these virtual settings? Join our virtual classroom in the online version of The Power of Presence, where you will learn to increase your presence while working online, and have more productive and effective online meetings and presentations. You’ll be able to interact with the facilitator and your fellow participants via group assignments in virtual breakout rooms. For an optimal learning experience, the programme is split into four modules over two weeks, and all purposefully take place online. This way you get to practise applying the tools and techniques given during the course immediately, in an online environment.
