Most successful companies already manage their innovation like that –as projects.

In this first day, we will explore the main changes that are occurring in our profession and how to overcome them. We will discuss the competencies required to transform and thrive in today’s digital and project driven economy. You will learn through practical case studies, how to advance your competencies to increase your organization’s overall strategy implementation success.

MASTERING THE PROJECT CANVAS

Projects are the best and only model that can exploit creativity and innovation on one side, as well as structure and discipline on the other. The Project Canvas is a well-known framework based on research carried out on hundreds of successful and failed projects ranging from small individual ones, and it can also be applied to transient ecosystems. The framework can be used by leaders and organizations at the beginning of a project-based ecosystem to assess how well it has been defined and whether it is worth starting right away or needs further refinement. It is composed of 14 dimensions grouped into four major domains:

  • Why
  • Who
  • What, When and How
  • Where

You learn how it works and how to apply it.

STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION

Senior managers believe that after strategy development and planning, they have a winning strategy. However, according to latest research 70% of strategies fail and companies fail to meet their goals, most of the time due to poor implementation. The result of this is both organizational failure and individual stress and frustration –especially for the executives charged with implementation. This is known as the strategy implementation gap.

This third session will provide real insights on the latest trends in strategy implementation. By learning the Strategy Implementation Roadmap © you build the competencies required for you and your organization to excel in delivering your strategy and implement your long term ambition and strategic goals. We will also address the most critical barriers to successful transformation. It covers the newest techniques in prioritizing strategic actions, nurture strategic dialogue and alignment in your organization.
