The civil aviation industry in India has emerged as one of the fastest growing industries in the country . India is currently considered the third largest domestic civil aviation market in the world and is expected to become the world’s largest domestic civil aviation market in the next decade. Therefore the industry is expected to attract Rs 1 lakh crore (US$ 15.52 billion) worth of investments in the next five years. There is clearly a shortage of managerial manpower in the aviation sector as a consequence of which there is tremendous competition for effective managers at mid and senior levels.

It is also necessary for the stakeholders to engage and collaborate with the policy-makers to implement efficient and rational decisions that will shape the future of the aviation industry. By means of the right policies and a continued focus on cost, quality and passenger interests, India would definitely be able to realize its vision of becoming one of the largest aviation market between 2020 to 2030.

This programme focuses on further developing the leadership and strategic management skills of senior managers from the aviation industry. It provides participants an understanding of strategic leadership and to effectively handle leadership responsibilities; provide global, regional and cultural perspectives on aviation and develop new professional opportunities.
