About the course

This programme is designed to prepare and enable individuals at management levels to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in the public and private sectors in order to effectively monitor and evaluate organisational performance.

Programme Outcomes:

  • Improved understanding of the role and scope of M&E in context of a given sector.
  • Contextualised M&E within the broader planning process in the client sector
  • Improved design of the basics of an M&E system in the client sector
  • Effective application of the different M&E assessment tools in the client sector
  • Effective application of the theory of change and log frame for an evaluation project in each sector
  • Improved ability and competency to plan for or scope evaluations in each sector
  • Improved design and application of the basic elements and principles of an evaluation project in each sector
  • Improved ability and competency to undertake an evaluation of projects/policies/programmes in each sector.
  • Develop and effectively use the report and follow-up reports on the findings of an evaluation project conducted.
  • Improved ability and competency to undertake specific types of evaluation in each sector
