How you’ll learn
The Master Black Belt program is a highly integrated, experiential journey of self-insight, stretch challenges and application of critical thinking taking Black Belts to the next level of leadership and expertise. The course is an interactive, blended learning experience, with the face-to-face, online and project modules bound together through intensive one-on-one support to maximise individual success and produce a well-rounded Lean Six Sigma leader.
Upon acceptance into the program through demonstrating your Lean Six Sigma proficiency to Black Belt level, you will be provided access to the online module covering statistical analysis concepts. Your lesson plan will be tailored to your knowledge gaps based on your result from your application exam and interview. The online module is in preparation of the Strategic Operations Advisor module and must be completed prior to attending.
You will join our flagship General Manager Program; a 5 day intensive module, staying at our residential centre in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The General Manager Program focuses on building your leadership, strategic thinking and commercial acumen skills. You will have the choice to attend one of three runs of the General Manager Program offered each year. You must complete the General Manager Program before progressing your MBB journey.
Following completion of the leadership module – the General Manager Program - you'll take part in a non-residential 5 day module at our Sydney CBD Campus. This module will build your technical expertise as well as the skills of a trusted strategic advisor. You will require access to the statistical analysis software, Minitab, along with a laptop equipped with Microsoft Word and Excel during the face-to-face and online modules.
Next, you will work on two workplace strategic reviews. Your internal review will address a live strategic challenge at your organisation and be supported by your sponsor and your AGSM program mentor. You will also participate in a cross-industry review with one of our non-competing host organisations to broaden your knowledge and consultative skills.
Upon completion of the modules and your work placements, you will be awarded your Master Black Belt certification at a formal graduation ceremony.
