Description

Organizations that promote diversity and inclusiveness lead to efficient, innovative, and successful environments. This training will engage participants in self-reflection and discussions to gain understanding of cutting-edge information on how diversity and inclusion impact the workplace. The training will include strategies and skills for contributing to an inclusive work culture in order to create and promote productive work relationships and a successful work environment.

Course objectives:

  • Learn about the importance of diversity and how to contribute to inclusion in a workplace environment
  • Understand how your identity impacts your values, perceptions and views in the workplace
  • Gain awareness of key terms and concepts in diversity and inclusion
  • Learn how personal reflection is important for contributing to inclusion personally and in a workplace
  • Understand how your identity impacts your values, perceptions and views in the workplace
  • Learn skills to address unconscious biases
  • Learn what practices and policies contribute to inclusion in a workplace environment
  • Understand how to use your leadership position to promote an inclusive workplace values that support productive diverse work environments
  • Learn skills to address scenarios that cause conflict among employees
  • Create and implement processes to integrate diversity and inclusion in your workplace
