Change and creativity are interconnected. When change occurs, we need to adapt to new conditions and realities. With such change comes uncertainty since we can no longer rely on what was previously known to remain true, and therefore need to develop novel solutions to fit the new paradigms. In other words, we need to become innovative, creative leaders.
Participants in Leading Change for Innovation and Impact will explore the deep connections that exist between leadership, change, creativity and innovation. Through practical application of a widely regarded creative change model as well as highly interactive small group discussions and peer learning opportunities, participants will identify and develop core skills that drive change for innovation and impact across organizations.
How You Learn
This program will consist of the follow four stages of learning:
Pre-Program Preparation: Assessing Innovation and Influencing Preferences Participants will individually complete two short online assessment to better understand their personal innovation style as well leadership preferences related to innovation-focused teams.
Virtual Class: The Interplay of Creative Leadership, Processes and Environment on Innovation The class will come together online, where we will highlight the important interplay of leadership, processes and the environment using the Creative Change Model. In addition to exploring how each of these components must be deliberately led to generate a culture of creativity, participants will identify their own strengths and areas for development in the quest to become creative change leaders.
Virtual Class 2: Creating Alignment and Managing the Dilemma of Innovation The leadership practices needed to lead change to maximize cycles of innovation will be examined. Participants will also learn how to lead innovation initiatives through the inevitable challenges of keeping the balance between efficiency and creativity.
Peer Coaching for Result
At the conclusion of the real-time virtual class sessions, a peer learning system will be established. Pairs of participants act as coaching partners by sharing their innovation and change leadership experiences with each other with a view to encourage and sustain learning and skills development.
