Description

3D Printing, or Additive Manufacturing, has seen a phenomenal rise in terms of usage and popularity amongst engineers and scientist. It has gain a lot of attention in the various media all over the world. Recent investments by major companies, private corporations and government agencies showed the importance of this technology and its importance to the next generation of product development and advanced manufacturing. What is 3D Printing? Why is it so important and what does it mean to companies involve in manufacturing?

Objectives

This two day course aims to address these questions and provide a clear and wide-ranging introduction to this technology and its implications to the future development of manufacturing.

This course will introduce to participants what 3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing (AM) is and provide them with a clear understanding and summary of the following:
