This nuts-and-bolts program presents a frontloaded advocacy approach to abuse, neglect, and dependency proceedings. Participants will have an opportunity to practice skills, such as interviewing clients and preparing for adjudication, in small workshops. It also includes one hour of ethics. Some sessions at the 2019 program include from report to petition; discovery and motions; evaluating and challenging pleadings; evidence issues; developing a theory and appeals.
