Description

After completing the FMMD, functional managers within municipal organisations will be equipped with an understanding of the requisite knowledge and skills to manage resources effectively and efficiently in order to ensure competitive and sustainable service delivery as well as achievement of organisational goals.

Local government in the South African context confronts increasing pressure to manage resources efficiently and to ensure effective service delivery. This short course will focus on optimising effective management and operations for a group of functional managers. This course will seek to ensure that the knowledge, skills and experience acquired by its manager are both relevant and responsive to the needs of government, its clients and other stakeholders.

Who should attend

Participants in the FMMD should be in possession of a Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF 5 level qualification. Alternatively, a portfolio of evidence of prior learning is considered. At least 3 years work experience is also required.
