About the course

This workshop has been designed to improve participants’ confidence and efficacy during presentations, meetings and in everyday verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The workshop combines the delivery of information through an informal lecturing style with group discussion and experiential exercises.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • understand about the cause of public speaking “nerves”
  • learn very simple vocal strategies for dealing with nerves and any vocal “tics” that may prevent them from being understood clearly, i.e: mumbling, strongly accented English, soft voice etc.
  • gain a thorough understanding of how we communicate verbally and how to fix any difficulties.
