Description

Exponential Medicine is a unique and intensive four-day experience that gathers world-class faculty, innovators and organizations from across the biomedical and technology spectrum to explore and leverage the convergence of fast moving technologies in the reinvention and future of health and medicine.

Our home in San Diego at the iconic Hotel del Coronado is the magic X-factor in building rapport and catalyzing deeper-than-usual conversation amongst faculty and participants. We make full use of one of America’s most beautiful seaside resorts; its history beautifully complements the future-focus of Exponential Medicine.

From talks given in custom a designed theater with multiple configurations for listening and idea capture to our hands-on technology lab to beachside morning yoga, dinners and bonfires - Exponential Medicine is a high energy, bold redesign of a medical conference.

What is Exponential Medicine?

Founded by Dr Daniel Kraft in 2011, Exponential Medicine is an immersive, hands-on program focused on the implications of breakthrough developments such as 3D printing, personalized stem cell lines, point-of-care lab-on-a-chip diagnostics, robotics, augmented intelligence, machine learning, large-scale bioinformatics, synthetic biology, low cost genomics, gene editing, blockchain and more. These rapidly developing technologies are discussed in the context of the current explosions of digital information, big data, and connected, on-demand, distributed healthcare.

Designed for the clinicians, innovators, investors, executives, and makers driving progress in smart ways, Exponential Medicine gathers world-class faculty, organizations, and startups from across the biomedical and technology spectrum to present an engaging series of faculty talks, interviews, hands-on experiences, demos and in-depth exploration of what’s currently in the labs, what’s evolving clinically, and what game changing technologies are emerging in the next 2 to 10 years.

Our signature blend of exponential thinking, insight sharing, and high dimension of interaction sparks new relationships, research, business concepts, and collaborations that can transform one’s practice, research endeavor, organization, industry, and planet.

Who should attend

Physicians: Intended for clinicians across the medical spectrum, from full time clinicians to academicians. Any M.D. who is looking to understand the global trends, disruptive technologies in medicine and healthcare should fully participate in this program. Exponential Medicine participants will network with fellow top innovators who are leading the technology revolution. You will learn about emerging tools to improve your clinical practice, research and your ability to identify and address pain points in your clinical practice.

Inventors & Innovators: Anyone who is involved and interested in innovation to develop novel solutions (and improve current approaches) to address unmet needs across the healthcare ecosystem: ranging from medical devices, software and mobile Apps, new drugs and therapeutic approaches, to the utilization of big data, artificial intelligence, electronic medical records and more.

MedTech & BioPharma Executives & Investors: Technological breakthroughs are emerging from the intersection of various exponentially growing fields: Where 3D printing and Stem Cell biology meet, we see a new organ regeneration industry emerge; where cloud computing, microfluidics and artificial intelligence intersect we witness the creation of the Star Trek medical Tricorder. Any medical CEO, CTO or CMO who is not thrilled and terrified by the rapid explosion of technology doesn’t understand the pace and impact of this change.
