The Executive Leadership program is the most advanced and potentially transformative in Hyper Islands leadership portfolio. It is an invitation to explore the mountains and valleys of your own personal leadership landscape, a deep and highly personal journey of reflection and self-exploration towards realizing your higher potential as a leader.

This is not a mini-MBA where numerous professors share their academic insights or a raft of organizational case studies that you deconstruct and try to “solve”. We will equip you with a set of transferable leadership skills and frameworks that can be applied in wide range of settings, as well as a set of transformative skills and habits that will allow you to leave behind the patterns of the past and accelerate your own personal growth, in work and life. Together, these are the tools, frameworks and mindsets needed to effectively navigate the terrain of modern organisations and get important collaborative work done.

This course aims to work on your future-readiness as a leader and is developed on the back of our decade-long learnings of empowering bold change makers for the emerging future.

Course Modules and Schedule

The course journey consists of three modules

  • Grounding Myself – Building a sense of urgency, inviting you to connect with the landscape outside- and inside yourself as a launch pad for transformation
  • Facilitating Others – Linking and leveraging diverse perspectives and capabilities in your organisation to manage change and co-create solutions to complex problems
  • Shaping the New – Stop recreating the patterns of the past and explore strategic doing as a vessel for shaping the emerging future.

Grounding Myself

Society and organizations are facing the challenges and opportunities that comes with technological acceleration, globalisation and increased complexity. The new reality requires us to come together, across silos and borders to co-create, innovate and solve problems together. This new order and way of working is gradually impacting and transforming our role as senior leaders. To be successful in this transition, we need to stop downloading some of the old scripts and habitual ways of thinking and doing, and start uploading new ones, especially for how we lead and manage our teams. This program aims at supporting you in this transition and empower you with the insights, tools and the mindsets needed to rise to the challenges around you and make bold change happen in your organisation.

Our multiple years of valuable experience has taught us that the most effective learning comes through interactions and discussion from your peers on the course. As part of your journey, each of the live sessions will be dedicated to connecting, sharing, and learning from each other. We’re always blown away by the experience and expertise from our learners and we work to amplify that for you.

Live sessions, interactive workshops, and hands-on tasks

Over the course of the three months, live interactive sessions will take place to support your learning, reflection, creation, and networking. Sessions are multifaceted and social, ensuring all learners get a chance to contribute fairly. We utilize the time together by diving deeper into the topic, getting hands on, and creating the artefacts, strategies, and thinking that will directly help you to meet your most pressing challenges.

The sessions will be hosted by course facilitators and leading thinkers and doers that are working directly with the challenges facing senior leaders in business. It goes without saying that we will learn and create using the latest and most applicable digital collaboration tools.

Regular Reflection

In each module, in addition to our live interactive sessions, you’ll get the chance to combine content, action, and reflection through provocations and peer discussion. These learning opportunities are designed to integrate with your day-to-day work and build additional competence and experience.

Learning Kit

In the beginning of each module, you’ll receive a learning kit consisting of original content and insights to maximize your knowledge. The course content is available for you to go through at any time you choose during the week. An additional pre-course learning kit will be sent out prior to the first week to help get you started.

*Time Commitment *

This course is designed to be flexible to your schedule. The time commitment is up to the individual, however, you are expected to spend approximately 4 hours per week in total—including participation—in each of the live sessions, as well as your learning and doing outside of sessions.
