A recent report by Symantec found that almost two-thirds (63 per cent) of locally based companies believe that their cyber-security practices are not able to mature quickly enough to keep up with the rapid expansion of cloud applications.
Most organisation’s success hinges on technology as they embark on their business transformations to leverage the opportunities that new technologies bring. Therefore stable and secure information and communications technology are critical to complete our missions and create a competitive advantage.
Management teams who understand the risks that they face, their roles in cyber security, and employ the right counter measures will be able to reduce the risk of incidents happening, reduce the effect of the incidents that do happen and demonstrate professional competence and responsibility.
Coming away from this programme you will:
- Be able to engage and communicate appreciation for security
- Bring business knowledge and understanding of decisions made by the security team
- Gain an awareness of leaders’ roles in keeping organisations secure
- Understand implications of the scope of threats and potential impact on business including aspects of risk and risk reduction
- Lead enterprise-level efforts in the development of a secure organisation
You will explore the latest thinking and frameworks from our experienced faculty, looking at case studies of organisations that have learned the need for security the hard way and will work through challenges and issues from a business point of view, examining the different areas of the organisation need to play in developing and maintaining a secure organisation. Over two intense days, you will have the opportunity to build out a cyber security plan for your organisation and map out the immediate next steps for yourself.
