This course will provide you with the opportunity to reflect on your own approach to managing performance and provide you with practical tips and techniques that you can put in practice on a daily basis.

Course Structure

The course is divided into 4 modules. Each module focuses on a different aspect of team collaboration. On completion, you’ll have the confidence to motivate your team, drive engagement, have positive performance conversations, provide feedback, and coach your team to success.

01 Creating a performance culture

Here, you will develop an understanding of the leader’s role in creating a performance based culture and gain insight into how positive psychological contracts form the basis of high performance.

02 Motivating and engaging others

How well do you really know your team? Research demonstrates that if people are engaged they will deliver higher levels of productivity and customer service. In module 2 you will take time for reflection. We explore what really motivates teams and what motivates you.

03 Positive Performance Conversations

This module will aid in the preparation of a performance conversation and develop your ability to give effective feedback. Additionally, you will develop the skills for positive communication and will practice using successful conversations in an 8-step approach.

04 Coaching for Development

The ability to coach and develop your team will be a source of motivation and encouragement to others and enable you to build capability and delegate more effectively. You will be provided with a framework to use when coaching others, so that you can identify ways to develop your team.
