Cost Analysis & Internal Controls for the Winery
Designed for winery owners, accountant, bookkeepers, entrepreneurs and others seeking a complete understanding of the cost of producing wine, this workshop will demystify the most complex aspects of winery accounting. By helping students develop an accurate understanding of the true costs of their product this workshop will enable students to build sustainable and profitable pricing strategies for various wine business models.
This program gives an overview of the financial and accounting concepts that will enable you to make better business decisions and advance your career. Taught by wine industry professionals in the finance and accounting fields, each course is tailored to explore core finance and accounting concepts presented from a wine industry perspective to provide knowledge that can be immediately applied to your business or organization.
Wine industry professional with limited experience in finance and accounting can take these courses to gain practical knowledge and financial literacy skills. Alternatively, finance and accounting professionals can take these courses to expand and deepen their knowledge of best practices in finance and accounting for the wine industry or to earn CPE credits towards maintaining CPA licensure.
The Certificate in Wine Industry Finance and Accounting requires the completion of 4 full-day courses. We have courses scheduled throughout the year.
These wine business courses are open to the public and may be taken individually or collectively. All courses are offered in-person on the SSU campus.
