Who should attend

This course is recommended for anyone thinking of purchasing and implementing AI/automation as part of the recruitment / talent acquisition process, or looking for tools to develop a business case for implementing AI/automation.

About the course

Learn how to build, buy or partner Artificial Intelligence (AI) into your recruitment / talent acquisition (TA) process.

AI is disrupting the way we live and work, affecting multiple industries and business areas. With so much hype around this emerging technology, organisations are increasingly beginning to see the benefits of AI technology in recruitment.

Recruitment has been the largest area of development and investment in AI/automation for HR over the last 2+ years. With the average employee costing around £11,000 to replace, developing an effective talent acquisition strategy is vital for long-term business success, and AI has the potential to greatly enhance talent acquisition. However, many HR professionals expecting to introduce AI/automation into their organisations in the next 2-5 years, don’t feel they have the knowledge or confidence to navigate the changing and murky world of HR technology.

The objective of this 1-day course is to help you understand the key issues, arguments, concerns, and benefits of AI/automation. You’ll explore the history of AI, what technologies are and aren’t artificial intelligence, and explore why there’s so much hype around this growing group of emerging technologies. You’ll also learn how to build a business case and ask the tough questions for the ethical adoption of AI/automation.

Benefits

This course will give you an understanding of what AI is and isn't via individual and group discussions and activities. You'll come away knowing the buying journey, have the evidence to build a business case and a list of questions to enable future decisions.

By the end of the course you’ll be able to:

  • understand how AI technologies are impacting the future of work, HR and specifically in recruitment of talent
  • confidently lead conversations about implementing artificial intelligence in talent acquisition
  • advise how AI can reduce and improve the TA process at specific pain points, and what impact it has on business strategy and service delivery
  • feel more knowledgeable about the process of buying, partnering, or building a solution for your organisation.

Programme

AI in Talent Acquisition will cover:

Session 1: What is AI, what are the issues, and why is this technology so confusing?

Session 2: How is AI being used in recruitment? Who is the technology impacting and how to navigate key stakeholders to gain buy-in?

Session 3: How to map user journeys and identify where to use AI/automation in your process?

Session 4: Building the business case and starting of the buyers’ (partner or build) journey.
