About the course
Company culture impacts all parts of a business. Every company chooses whether to leverage it as a key asset or ignore it as a potential liability. Favoritism, toxic relationships, and underperformance are common symptoms of poor workplace culture. By contrast, companies that succeed in designing, implementing, and sustaining an effective workplace culture can achieve a clear competitive advantage—whether it’s recruiting top talent, increasing productivity, or fostering innovation. In addition to demystifying the topic of company culture, this highly interactive course will introduce leaders to the Design of Work Experience (DOWE) framework—a step-by-step “how to” for creating company culture and enhancing employee experience. Students will learn how to achieve in-depth understanding of a company's current state, develop a strategy for its future state, and establish a strategic plan for how to get there. We will also delve into common organizational “pain points” (issues and problems) and “gain points” (solutions to help unlock a company’s full potential). Students will come away with the skills to lead culture in their workplace and unleash the true potential of their companies.
