Description

The 2018 Global Finance Summer Program is a brand-new program welcoming students interested in becoming candidates of MBA or finance-related master’s programs in the United States. We are looking for passionate, diligent, and ambitious students excited about the opportunity of a full-scale immersion into the fast-paced and thrilling New York lifestyle.

Preferred candidates for this program are:

  • Serious students who want to improve their chances of getting into competitive schools
  • Curious students who want to experience New York and its diverse cultures
  • Competitive students who want to stay steps ahead of their peers by expanding their networks

Program details

The program spans two weeks and consists of two courses, each of which contains five two-hour sessions led by full-time professors of the Gabelli School of Business. Certificates will be awarded upon completion of the program.

Each student will be offered opportunities to experience the finance industry in real-world settings in the heart of New York City. Events include:

  • Bloomberg - headquarters visit and Bloomberg terminal training session
  • Visits and discussions at top investment banks
  • Career advising - panel on careers in the finance industry
  • United Nations Headquarters - group tour
  • Museum of American Finance - group tour
  • Admissions workshop - how to effectively apply for master’s programs in the United States
  • Investment immigration workshop - introduction and outlook of EB-5 immigration industry
  • Downtown financial district day-trip
  • Networking events with Wall Street professionals
