To address the global changes and trends in business to perform a positive impact, business schools around the world launch new programs to train new generations of leaders. This summer, three leading business schools in the world announced new programs for top managers and executives, and one of them is devoted to the sports business. You have at least a month to apply for them!
1. INSEAD – LEAD
INSEAD Business School in France launches its new online 12-month program LEAD (Lead, Engage, Advance, Drive), targeted at senior executives, mid-level leaders, high-potential managers, and enterprising potential to accelerate their leadership capabilities. The INSEAD LEAD official website states: “Leveraging INSEAD’s pioneering expertise in leadership development, the LEAD Certificate gives you what you need to broaden your business understanding while sharpening your focus, to adapt to changing contexts and deliver unprecedented results.” The program curriculum is based on the three pillars: Sensing Value (identification of trends that affect business), Delivering Value (reconnecting systems in an organization to adapt to changes), and Sustaining Value (evaluation of the long-term impact on stakeholders). The LEAD program will start on November 19, and the application deadline is November 14 this year.
2. Columbia – The Business of Sports
Columbia Business School in New York, USA, launches new online 4-week course, The Business of Sports, designed for those who want to build a business industry, learning first-hand from team owners and sports executives. The program offers two options for participation: with and without live sessions on weekends, both asynchronous and fully online. The website states: “Study the impact of sports across North America, collective bargaining, how a franchise accrues valuation, and how major stadiums are financed. Examine the shifting demographics of sports fans and see how new technologies are influencing “the game.” If your goal is to work in the sports industry, this program is for you.” The Business of Sports program will start on November 6, and the application deadline is October 30 this year.
3. Imperial College & Emeritus – Imperial Sustainability Leadership Programme
Imperial College Business School in the United Kingdom and an online education platform that offers high-quality online courses from top-rated universities Emeritus have launched new joint online 15-week course Imperial Sustainability Leadership Programme, aiming at educating business leaders to create a sustainability innovation strategy to address environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals in organizations. Students will study business’s environmental and social impact, sustainable business models and strategies, organizational culture change, and other ESG-related issues. Moreover, students will apply their theoretical knowledge to solve cases from the “green” restaurant, the largest producer of industrial enzymes, and a global energy company. This program will start on November 16, and the application deadline is November 9 this year.
Apart from these three new programs, a few more are expected to be announced soon. One of the Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte, and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), which celebrated its 175 years anniversary this year, announced strategic collaboration. Together, they will design and deliver Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning certification courses via the Deloitte AI Academy and offer a work-study program for IIT Roorkee students and scholars.
